California Supreme Court Drops the Gavel

When it comes to progressive policies that prioritize criminals over law-abiding citizens, California is the leader in the rest of the country. However, there has been a shift in the wind. In the past few months, voters have recalled far-left district attorneys who released convicted criminals back into society. And in a decision that has shocked many, the highest court in the state upheld the use of the death penalty for a heinous murderer.

Charles Ng, who was convicted of killing multiple people in a serial killing spree, had his death sentence upheld by the California Supreme Court. Ng and his accomplice, Leonard Lake, who passed away in 1985, went on a murderous rampage in 1984 and 1985, kidnapping and killing dozens of people. Ng’s accomplice died in 1985.

Although Ng was only charged in connection with 11 deaths, it is possible that he was responsible for the deaths of up to 25 people (including children). Because Ng’s attorneys took advantage of California’s inefficient criminal justice system, the trial dragged on for years. They went so far as to attempt to overturn his death sentence, but the court prevented them from doing so.

Far-left A stay of execution has been issued under Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom’s administration. It would appear that Newsom is more concerned with ensuring that Ng remains incarcerated than with ensuring that justice is served. It would appear that the pro-criminal progressives in California are more concerned with the heinous murderers than they are with the families that Ng and his ally ruined.

However, we have seen this before. Because progressive leaders have put in place policies that reward criminals, the state of California is in such a mess that thousands of people are fleeing to other states. They have cut funding for the police department, canceled cash bail, and deleted felony charges for a number of different offenses.

People in cities that were once very desirable are now reluctant to leave their homes. They don’t bother locking their vehicles since they know that thieves will just smash the windows regardless. When will the people of California finally get their act together and start voting for folks who will keep the peace? Maybe not until it’s already too late.
